Botswana, Zimbabwe,Combiné Auto-tour & guidé,Camps & lodges
Dear Bénédicte, Thanks for your email. I was actually about to write you yesterday but as we just got back it was a busy day. First of all I would like to congratulate you and your team cause our trip to Botswana was fantastic! We loved each and every experience and place visited. And I must say that your organisation was very accurate. Especially because we had the impression that it was really tailored in details and concieved to make us experience many different situations in different places: riverfront, water, savanna, etc. Good job, really! The only negative note was the terrible heat, some times breathtaking! Regarding the accomodations: – Spray view in Victoria Falls was probably a little average, but rooms were nice and clean, very slow restaurant service. We went two nights for dinner to the terrace of beautiful and charming Vitoria Falls Hotel (I’m not sure if that’s the correct name) and if I’d go back I’d definitely would prefer to stay there, even if probably more expensive. Cinthia who assisted us for the two days in Vic Falls was really fantastic! – Serondela Lodge: besides the terrible heat we absolutely loved the place! Simple but elegant and clean, totally peaceful and into the wild. And Simone the owner was super kind, friendly and helpful. – Camping in Savuti: super experience. The guys of the staff were very kind and helpful and they also cooked very good food with many different recipes. Nico was a fantastic guide, and he even managed to find cheetahs! I only wish it had been a little less hot to enjoy it even more! – Hyena tented camp: very nice camp, I found the rooms and common parts very stylish and simply elegant. We loved having all kinds of animals just in front of us, quite thrilling and fun! The only negative note is that you have to wash with salted water which gets a bit tough after a while. The food was nothing really special, but ok. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had an excellent guide, a young guy called Johnson, super nice and professional. It is only a bit of a hassle the fact that you have to drive more or less a half hour to get to the Safari sites. In this time of year so terribly hot it can be tiring and it could probably be better and a little fresher to stay in a place near the Khwai River. -Xhugana Lodge: we loved it, and finally we got a little release from the terrible heat! The lodge is very nice, beautiful rooms, although in my opinion probably a little older than the other two lodges where we stayed. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful. Excellent food and dinner settings. The activities were very various and all beautiful and much fun. Super guide and manager called BB. All the connections for our trip were absolutely well organized and perfectly on time. Great job Bénédicte! Thanks again and looking forward to coming back to some other African country very soon! Best regards Angelica
